Rhone Residence
The Rhone residence belongs to our very own design principal, Troy Rhone, and in this case, the cobblers children have very nice shoes indeed. This garden was designed to rid the house of it's 1950's craftsman bungalow style. "We wanted a more English-cottage feel with welcoming outdoor spaces for entertaining." New aprons, made of brick set in a herringbone pattern, were installed at each entrance of a brick-lined, pea-gravel driveway. Then TRGD created borders out of boxwoods to give the garden a more formal feel. Six cast-stone statues were set in the back yard lining a perennial garden and a fountain made from a stone English bowl taking center stage. The formal lawn acts as a play area for the Rhones' Goddaughters and has become a favorite stopping point for many inquisitive neighbors, as well as a distraction to several motorist.
